Reporting a violation

Whether it's a trailer parked where it shouldn't be or a fence going up without approval, reporting a concern takes about two minutes.

For residents

1. In the portal, open Violations in the top navigation.
2. Select Report to open the report form. (This page also lists reports you have filed before, with their current status.)
3. Describe what you saw, where, and when. Attach photos if you have them — up to five, and each photo needs to be under 4 MB (a normal phone photo is fine).
4. Submit. The board is notified and the report enters their review queue.

You can check back on Violations in the portal any time to see where your report stands.

For board and committee members

The same form lives in the dashboard: Violations → Report in the sidebar. Board reports skip nothing — they enter the same queue with the same record-keeping, which keeps the paper trail consistent no matter who spotted the issue.

What makes a useful report

• Be specific about location. "123 Maple Ct, side yard facing the street" beats "near the entrance".
• Photos carry the day. A dated photo answers most questions a board would otherwise have to ask.
• Stick to what you observed. The form is for facts; the board handles interpretation and any conversation with the owner.

What happens after you submit

The board reviews the report against your community's covenants. Possible outcomes: the report becomes a tracked violation with a notice to the owner, it's resolved informally with a conversation, or it's dismissed if the covenants don't actually prohibit what was reported. If you filed the report, its status updates in your portal list either way.

Reports are visible to the board — not to the neighbor you reported, and not to other residents. The board sees who filed each report so they can follow up with questions, but how the board communicates about enforcement is governed by your community's own practices and documents.
